OP has never seen an HBO original drama. Fiction is fiction faggots, film is as legitimate a story telling medium as prose, and Six Feet Under or The Wire are on par with some of the greatest novels in history

I used be disgusted by my parents' tv habits. How could they like that shit? That's the thing, they don't. They're not stupid, they understand just how dumb this stuff is. They're just trying to kill time in the easiest way possible.

Then I remembered that I spend several hours of every day staring at a tiny monitor hitting F5. Spoilers: We're all just as bad about wasting time. I mean, you can at least accomplish some interesting things on a computer, but let's be honest, none of us are doing anything worthwhile at the moment. Let's get off our high horses - some people watch sitcoms and reality shows, some people browse imageboards.
