Well we could claim to know more about this guy if we could get his works translated into English by some concerned linguistic soul.

Other than that, he is pretty influential and was part of the push behind Russia's annexation of Crimea. His Geopolitical Ideas regarding the Eurasian landmass looks like it will be one of the many fault lines which will help contribute to WWIII

I don't see a bipolar balance of power, at least for some time. What I do see is the emergence of a multi-polar world with region spheres of influence and regional powers such as Russia and China which might be the basis of an eventually bipolar conflict similar yet different from that of the Cold War. Oh and I wouldn't say to learn Russian or any particular language in any instance.

The original russian text is linked in the wiki article on it.
http://www.arctogaia.com/public/osnovygeo/
If you want a shitty translated version just open a section & press the translate button on chrome or copy & paste into translate. It'll be shit but if you've watched enough of his talks & read some articles from his site or generally on the subject of the text (http://www.4pt.su/en/content/aleksandr-dugin%E2%80%99s-foundations-geopolitics))
you should be able to figure out the bad translations.

We shall see. But they have other problems as well, like personal corruption and exclusivity of power (which tends to breed production malaise).

I'm not anti Putin or Russia, at least he is honest about things that US politicians are not, but that doesnt mean they are on China, India or Brazil's trajectory. And lets face it, the US recovery has been far better than Europe's.

China will rise slowly but surely. There will be some contention from India and some lobbying to see India move more into the US sphere of influence while Russia will remain a regional actor and thorn to US actions in the MENA region while the Chinese sit back and revel at the troubles the U.S runs into on the international stage.

4pt has a lot of dugin on it but his main works are still hard to find. I remember seeing a seeded torrent for the fourth political theory. bookz, #bookz, most torrent sites & several of the online book sites on Tor don't really have anything in the english language. In the 1970's Japan was expected to do the same.
They'd return as an even greater menace, an economic powerhouse, slithering between our fingers and dominate the rest of the world economically and therefore politically.

That's the time of Blade Runner's conception, when it was believed in the near future it wouldn't be impossible to see a the US's west coast Asianized to the point it might as well be Tokyo.
Now Japan has stagnated and is unlikely to be anything the 1970's expected it to be. Expectations haven't been met, at all.

All this "China is the world power of the 21st century" is laughably short sighted.
China has faced two tendencies in its history. One of centralization and one of fragmentation.
It has been fragmented as much as it has been united.
The Communist Party is in constant crisis management. Not so much now over its development ( although it is slowly but surely showing cracks ), but about its image domestically. The constant censoring of any message coming abroad about itself, signifies a deep insecurity. They're one of the handful of nations that blocks Facebook and Google for Christ's sake. Most dictatorships don't give a fuck about it, because they know they're in the saddle... Chinese communists don't seem so confident.

So no. Let's wait and see.
Russia shows a martial culture unlike any other of the developing nations. World history has proven that in the long run this matters much more than any 'growth' ( which in nowadays economic system is just a collapse in waiting ).
Chinese men are pussified mostly and the women are going through their own sexual revolution, without a moral backbone to keep it all in check ( thanks Cultural Revolution ).

>> No.7368064

>>7367889
>Russia shows a martial culture unlike any other of the developing nations

Yeah but this is basically irrelevant when dealing with other great powers because of nukes. Okay, they can get a port on the Mediterranean, bully Ukraine, Belarus, etc. But an actual war with a real country just leads back to MAD. Any amount of élan can't make up for that. Then demographics, output, oil prices, puts them in a bad spot.

I agree China is just waiting to disintegrate though. I read somewhere they have 500 protests a day of varying sizes (an estimate obv).

>> No.7368087

>>7368064

It isn't irrelevant. It's the perfect platform to bring about the expansion of the military.
Which is exactly what's happening in Russia now.

If a huge military was irrelevant because of nukes, the USA wouldn't have a budget that dwarfs the next 10 greatest military powers in the world.
It isn't to bully leftists, it's because it's actually needed to maintain an empire.

most importantly though, china has more or less good relations with the us, because of how integrated our economies are. the complete oppose can be said about russia.
