I feel like pic related is based on Plato's Republic. I mean, the whole system is like Socrates said he would organize his regime.
Wanted to read your thougths on this...

It's not exactly alike. There's no warrior class, for instance. Also, Brave New World is based on the opposite of the strict discipline advocated by Plato.

Isn't hypnopedia and the class system strict enough?
I guess i just feel dissapointed. While the writing style of Huxley amazes me and has a lot of deep meanings into it, the dysutopia he creates doesn't seem really original to me..

That's still only two things in common. I really don't see how that's enough to say it's based on Plato's Republic. That a despot uses the tools available to them at the time in trying to manipulate society is an important argument made in Brave New World, which can be interpolated backward to The Republic. The tools aren't the same in most respects though, or even the end goal.
