I think eventually it becomes a perpetual loop which converges to an existential crisis. We are trying to understand the why, but never question where we are even able to comprehend it. 90% of humanity don't even take the time to understand the mechanization of our surroundings. Are you a physics expert? Biology expert? Do you know whats beyond the event horizon?

Most likely not, but still we try to extrapolate the why, the "ultimate meaning". We make super computer to calculate difficult problems, not regular ones, because, they are equipped to do so.

Maybe we will never, or have yet to attain the mental capacity to reach beyond whats in front of us, to peak behind the curtains, because after all, we're still primates who occupy themselves with trivial tasks to pass the time, with momentary philosophical bouts about our existence.
