I just stopped reading GR. Lost interest in it at around page 140, just stopped caring about Slothrop and the rest when I realized the story was going to be totally shouted out by political/philosophical ramblings and paragraphs upon paragraphs of prosey, near-masturbatory metaphor-spinning. I don't think it's bad, but it's not my cup of tea either.

I guess I can see why you guys like it though.
