Nothing fancy, though. Maybe just a lighthouse or a simple rabbit (Control was my favorite character).

whenever I see a tattoo, I instantly think of the person who has it as belonging to a lower order of life

Tattoos are neither attractive nor interesting. In the rare case where someone can describe why they got it, it's usually some inane, deadeningly stupid philosophy that they themselves don't fully understand. Also, in terms of "attractiveness", the more tattoos a woman has, in general, the more promiscuous she is. I know some people are into that (I want my woman with experience!!!) but I, for one, am not a cuck.

Women have to deal with a lot of shit. Vonnegut did too, but it wasn't bullshit like ex boyfriends getting together with your friends or some other lame shit. He was in the firebombing of dresden. To keep himself from going insane he had to subscribe to a materialist cosmology and cling steadfastly to "So it goes".

And that just really resonates with women somehow. I guess they can relate to the passivity.

I'm sure this painfully trite display of cynical self-awareness would've worked a treat around 2005, but 2015? Not so much.

If you're in your mid 20s you shouldn't even be thinking about getting any tattoos anyway. You've pretty much grown past the stage where you're young and dumb enough to do it, so just leave it.

MOD
ERA
TED

Each column and row can be read as a significant 3-letter word or acronym forwards and backwards. So we have: met, TEM (Transmission electron microscopy), ore, Ero (spider genus and, coincidentally, a mathematical matrix operation; erotic in Japanese, first-person singular future active indicative of sum in Latin) , dad, mod (short for modern, modification (which a tattoo is), and a cryptanalyst operation), DOM (Document Object model; dominant/dominion/domini; and a psychedelic drug commonly known as STP (Serenity, Tranquility, Peace), era (Cenozoic, baby), are (yes we), TED (talks, and notable name), and det (determinant in math, 'do' in Latin).

In addition, I believe in moderation, moderation, moderation, and that labeling myself as moderated will symbolize inevitably getting my shit together.

i don't know how to feel about tattoos anymore. they're so meaningless now that i can't possibly think they're 'degenerate' or whatever, but at the same time i couldn't possibly think of anything i'd want permanently on my body. and i hate the fact that being sleeved up is still seen as sexy or edgy to certain people, because thats really fucking stupid.

Stupid logic. You might as well say the same thing about anyone who cares about image.

>> No.7282955

>>7282932
You haven't exactly explained how the logic is "stupid." You could easily say the same about anyone who cares about image. But obviously it's a huge generalization and isn't true of everyone who has tattoos. Really, the criticism is of those who privilege how they're perceived over the truth.

"I wonder if it seems to you, Luriana, Lurlilee,
That all the lives we ever lived
And all the lives to be, are full of trees and changing leaves ..."
It's from the poem "The Garden Song" by Charles Elton. That part always spoke to me.
