Most of the left is childish neener neener and are unable to get beyond their emotional investment in their ideology and actually listen to/read the opposite side.
Not to mention throwing out the baby with the bathwater at every turn.

I have no issue actually reading New Right stuff. Even though I consider myself in the middle.

1) No one actually reads Marx and friends. There's no real need to as people are Marxists to be edgy and rebellious without having to actually think for themselves.

2) The only "Far Right" or "New Right" groups that have anything close to a centralized set of core texts or a main treatise were the actual National Socialists and Fascists, and the majority of their texts are in German and Italian. Neither of these groups have any philisophical bearing today as people are brainwashed from childhood to think "NAZI = BAD" as a reflex rather than an actual disagreement with their beliefs. Because of this you either get kooks ranting aimlessly or huge libraries of utterly inscrutable philosophy that is not only obtusely large but also full of highly technical language.

Moldbug's "Intro to Moldbuggery" is like TEN FUCKING PAGES LONG. And not 10 paper pages, but 10 web pages. The site he wrote it on RAN OUT OF ROOM some TEN TIMES. The Communist manifesto is 18,000~ words. That's less than each PAGE of Moldbug's introduction. It doesn't matter how right Moldbug is. He could have diagnosed the problems of the world, put forth solutions, and backed them up with inarguable facts and logic. NO ONE will read it because just figuring out what the hell he's talking about is the equivalent of reading every issue of the Encyclopedia Brittanica ever printed.

Almost all right-wing activists hitherto have accumulated to a mass of low brow simpletons. Few have any ability to logically argue, they lack any kind of admirable physical features, and the amount of morons who spew oral garbage attract far more attention; by amount usually. Whatever few intellectual right-wing people exist are experienced about as often as a nigger giving a presentation to a university about philosophy...

At least the marxists and liberals have recieved some form of education outside of high school in comparison to the auto mechanic who argues about politics on the internet.

Its the sad truth; and its always disheartening to see someone from /pol/ posting something here, because its always worlds apart from what usually happens here. How the mighty have fallen...

You're missing the point. It's not that his argument is 10 pages long (If you actually put it into print it would be much larger). It's that his very most basic elaboration of his philosophy (Or, more so, his introduction designed to sway you to his side) is absolutely enormous. When people hear "I'm an 'x'" they don't want a five hour seminar on the history of political theory, they want to know why you want to gas 6 trillion jews/destroy the government/steal money from the rich/whatever and how that will benefit them. For like minded people, people on the fence, or people of the opposing viewpoint who actually want to know your ideas, it's fine. But there is a time and place for long winded precision. An introductory manifesto designed to explain what you want to do is neither the right time nor the right place.

I would partly agree with you though - for where as a radical-right (ie. typical /pol/ user) demonstrates as much freedom of speech as a radical left (antifa/ extreme feminist etc) it will be the man of the right that will, whether partly correct or not, always be at loss against mainstream society. And so uneducated people who are seriously racist are used as sort of ammunition for the left - because though the radical left may be just as uneducated, ignorant and unknowing - they will never have, or have comrades who, support the nazi regime and other such dastardly bad regimes (though why communism isn't seen as equally evil - I'll never know, I suppose it's more fashionable because it wasn't 'racist'?)

But it should be said that though these radicals of each party do identify as a part of either the left or right, it should be taken into consideration by the more-so knowing man whether their opinion should be regarded or not. I'd say it'd be highly ineffectual for a academic on a right to bother with the lefts radical lower echelons on the left and vice versa. Purely because it is a) so easy to defunct a lot of their convictions and b) the convictions they hold are often the more fashionable and therefore more so discussed and answered.

Cute t-shirt. Does it say anything?

The "New Right" is as phony as "New Atheist" and just as meme-y. There is nothing new about it. There is a set of issues that traditionally go in the left corner and the right. The conservative and Christian-right wants to go back to the feudal period, the right-liberal (libertarian in the US) wants the "free market" back, the nationalists/racists want all the races to go back to their (ancestor's) corner of the world and die, the imperialists want New Rome. They all want the past. They imagine things being better in the past. They're the biggest whiniest babies of all history and there is NEVER, by definition, going to be anything new about them.

Marxism, the better variety, rolls with the times. The basic premise is still sound, but the circumstances of the world have changed since Marx's time. He'd be the first to admit it, and get to work researching an update.

In the leftist future, I imagine the new left/right fight to be one over the communal vs individual way of life. The edgy teen will leave home to take on the world, but settle down somewhere and raise a family

What I see is that the great mass of people just want to be left alone, with enough services to provide them with safety and functioning infrastructure, but with a a government non-intrusive enough to let them live and work and make money without ever having to actually talk to someone from a government agency.

Ideology is poison. A corporatocractic center, where business and profit and ever increasing quality of life for all mankind is king is a great ideal. A culture where everyone has enough means to consume that which brings them satisfaction, whether that be physical, intellectual, or emotional. A place to stay. Enough to eat. Somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street, where you can speak out loud about your doubts and fear, And what's more no-one ever disappears, you never hear their standard issue kicking in your door.
You can relax on both sides of the tracks, and maniacs don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control, and everyone has recourse to the law.

And no-one kills the children anymore.

Its nothing but good old fashioned reactionaries with knowledge of "dank memes" and internet culture. When compared to Nordic Social Democracy in a heterogeneous culture its benefits crumble like dust.

/lit/ doesn't discuss the "new right" because they haven't done the necessary reading. They find those ideas new and scary and so would rather pretend they don't exist and so shout down or at best ignore anyone who tries to bring them up. They were sheltered from these awful mean ideas during their undergrads by the academic power structure and so become angry when anyone suggests that there are other ways of seeing the world out there. It's pretty depressing to see people who fancy themselves to be intelligent and well-read behaving this way, but what can you expect?

I mean, there are some things so basically fundamental to the human sensibility that the government must provide them, right? To dive into the more tangible, let's just take a hot-button issue like health care. Should a society not expend its communal resources to ensure the continued existence and physical well-being of its citizens? The political right would fight against basically any kind of system that efficiently and effectively achieves this.

And as to your last point, regarding the wisdom of our forebears--no, I think you're absolutely wrong. We owe great respect to the people who came before us, who have shaped the world into a now for the most part peaceful and civilized place. However, every generation we are blessed with new insight, whether it be technological, philosophical, etc, because the development of new minds breeds new ways of thinking. When we build upon the foundations of knowledge and wisdom that are ancestors have given us, we aren't rejecting those things--we're moving forward with the force of humanity.

Our society is more enlightened than those that existed upon the Euphrates thousands of years ago. In a thousand years, I'm sure our society will seem ridiculously antiquated as well.

By pairing them off into sensible allies.

I've made the comparisons (I can't be the first to have seen this) that the old conservatives who want to "go back to the earth" is also very much a leftist ideal. Earth First hippies, agrarian anarchist.

And then there's the Catholics with their new Pope. The "fix" just makes them leftists, but they should be proud since the all that remains of the Right are the nastiest varieties.
And even the nationalist would benefit with an end to liberal capitalism. Less immigration and cheap labor. No more mass migrations due to neocolonialist warfare.
