Recent Purchase Thread?

I'm currently an officer in the army so had to stock up on some more military related readings.Besides the more obvious like Clausewitz, does anyone have some recommended military readings?

Quite excited to read Eumeswil as Junger is one of my favorite authors.

Its a highly enthralling and engaging novel.
Throwing you right into the action, Junger focuses purely on the facts of the war. He barely ever slides into sentimentality and constantly seeks to provide a space for heroism in the brutality of modern war.

To me it blows the other WW1 books out of the water.

Parachute Infantry: An American Paratrooper's Memoir of D-Day and the Fall of the Third Reich by David Kenyon Webster

the first is an academic study of the role and relationship of mercenaries with state militaries. the second is an account of the allied invasion of europe by a man who interrupted his pursuit of a literature degree at harvard to enlist as a paratrooper.

Jünger's pretty expensive in my experience and most places only carry the edited version of Storms of Steel to boot.
Also I find there's almost no chance picking him up at antiquaries, though I did find a copy of On The Marble Cliffs. Weird book.
