>tfw everything can effortlessly be broken down to spooks
>tfw lit is right at the heart of it
>tfw lit tells you to judge books not on entertainment but based on values decided solely by the academia-media-publishing complex
>tfw I force myself to go through books written by the latest new York(/er) darling who writes about their feels when no one would ever care about my feels
>tfw watching lit's narcissistic desire to be published
>tfw told that art is simultaneously subjective and objective
>tfw watching lit's embarrassing attempts to talk about how much they love Nietzsche despite knowing fuck all

The more I read, the more I'm convinced that 99 % of literary / artistic discussion etc is all posturing and bluster. Good art isn't - I still read and watch stuff that's great and makes me feel all sorts of emotion.

Same goes for a lot of philosophy, I hate to say it.

Are you just trying to say that art is subjective and the art world is pretentious?

That's not ground-breaking.
