Hi lit, anyone has read this? Opinions? Do you recommend it?

It's my favorite book. Ultimately it teaches you something about reductionism and consciousness, but the process is enjoyable and the book is filled with clever jokes and puzzles. It's great.

From what I noticed people react either like >>7157649
or they hate it. I guess it really depends when you read it and how familiar you are with the topics it deals with. Give the first chapter a go and see if the style appeals to you.

IME (in my experience) people rather say it's interesting but bloated, which is what I've gotten from his other works too.

Maybe bloa twd but because he repeats things over and over again, chapternafter chapter and incorporating new themes. I think its a nice way of bloating a book

I read like fifty pages and hated it. I thought it taught nothing but really vague ideas, which are constantly repeated throughout very bloated chapters.

Good book. It can be hard to read and aprehend certain concepts. STEMs generally love because of its "polithamaticy". It mixes well logic, mathematics, programming, zen, music, genetics and robotics. Also, the dialogues between the books are very unique.

I have my disagreements about the main thesis in the end of book (the parts about AI and counciousness) and i admit that I'm really not sure if I understood those parts, but the way until there was great.
