He's very prolific in the sense of crossing lots of philosophical cliques. And also in writing a lot about different things which is p much the same thing.

Anyway I find him useful as a kind of landmark. Like if I'm going into something new I can almost guarantee I have read something about it from zizek relating it to some other thing even if it's like a sentence and a half in an introduction somewhere
