I'm going to a residential treatment program (for depression), during my time there I'm allowed to bring several books. Anything you guys recommend?

Something practical, learning chinese or playing the guitar.

I'd bring light reading, Old Man and the Sea is a good place to start.

Good luck, OP, but if you beat your depression you're gonna find that you had it within you the entire time and you didn't even need to go there.
