What book has the most homely feeling to it?

>> No.7108237

It's a contender between Moers' The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear and White's The Once And Future King

But then again, I'm sure this is completely different for everybody as "homely" is a feeling that can be caused by nostalgia too. Like that comfy book you re-read 8 times when you were 12, in that winter where it snowed so much you didn't have to go to school for a whole week.

I was about to be a grammer fag but then I realized you're using the English meaning for homely not the North American.

Carry on my wayward son.

Raymond Carver. Not so much a happy homely so much as there are light variants of a resigned sorrow.

I was going to say In Search of Lost Time because it's the comfiest book I've ever read, but I looked up "homely" and inelegant was part of the definition so now I just don't know.
