Hardly. The epistemological status and interpretation of QM is an usual complaints of philosophers of science. It's a question than physicists simply dismiss or, when they don't, they find it hard to agree.
This is something that philosophers of science, and some scientists as well (usually not physicist) point out about the problematic status of QM as scientific, since the fields does not satisfy several of the characteristics that we consider proper of any scientific discipline.

probably when physicists decide to abandon their faux superiority complex and accept that quantum mechanics has philosophical significance. Its founders were concerned with interpretation; John Bell was concerned with interpretation and his experiments changed the entire conceptual landscape through which we view the theory and the world. There IS a metaphysics of quantum mechanics, it's just caught between people who don't care and people like Deepak Chopra
