His starting point is nihilistic, but alot of his philosophy revolves around the attempt to overcome nihilism. Essentially, that's the will to power - Things may not have any value or meaning in the traditional sense, but there is a reason to live and do things: chasing power, that is.

I think you could define him as a post-nihilist if you want, but he went too far away from nihilism to be considered a nihilist.

We define nihilism differently than Nietzsche. Nietzsche knew Nihilism's dictionary definition; he was a semiotician and a voracious student of langauge. His "nihilism" extends beyond the denial of divinely-ordained meaning, but denial of any search for meaning, period. If anything, his criticisms of "nihilism" attacked humanity's response to nihilism more than nihilism itself.
