I'm a bit drunk but whatever
here's my thing
I'm a STEM-fag (I'm a mathematician) and I'm in love wuth a girl who is trying for a Phd in English lit

thing is: I like to read stuff like Mishima, Hemingway, Conrad, Kawabata. Joyce and whatever

she likes stephen king and john green. (yes, she IS doing Phd in english lit)

Well unless you base a relationship on your tastes literature, then sure. My girlfriend read and enjoyed John Green and I didn't care, now through discussion and guidance she said she agrees with my opinions on YA and likes me to read Donne poems to her at night until she falls asleep.

This is a pretty useless thread, something as trivial as your taste in literature will never prevent you from loving a person you can truly care for. And this is coming from a person whose entire life has revolved around books since birth.
