That's a cute fanart.
Oh wait. "Manga Classics"
Hmm.
Oh well if you think that's bad, I was looking for a bible in a bookstore and they had a "Manga Bible" I shit you not.

Does this actually exist? How long is it?

>> No.7050341

Checked and it exists. 336 pages.
Kinda upset it's so short and only one volume, Les Mis's story is perfect for serialization.
On another note, I've read some of the "manga Shakespeare" and they seem pretty good.

I flipped through this at the bookstore once. It's just a straightforward retelling of the plot in manga form.

If only IJ and GR had manga versions as wel...

This would be a whacky idea if it was not going to be read by lazy people who don't want to bother read the original one.

I guess so, but maybe some people would put the book down and order the text one if they found it interesting enough.

Regardless, it's cute.

Literally every verse of the Quran was spoken by Muhammad, so yes. Most verses are related to the context of when they were happening, so double yes. It'd be impossible to make it like that and not include Muhammad. The best you could do was just show major events at the time surrounding the rise of Islam and have someone narrate out Quran verses at the appropriate times, though the way most all verses were first recorded or received by people directly next to Muhammad would make that incredibly awkward to draw well.

I've said this on this board 100 times but the Quran is not a book, it is a collection of things Muhammad said under the pretense of those things being from god. They were all received through people who heard Muhammad at the times of "receiving" new messages from god, or spoken by Muhammad to other people shortly after him getting it himself. It wasn't a recollection of events, you can't think of it like that. It's like having a camera paned only on to one person while a large conversation is going on, and trying to piece together what is going on around it. That's what Hadith is for, you already have the camera so you know exactly what the guy in question was saying.

What a fucking travesty, sequential art is pretty much the only media somely could translate Ulysses relatively decently into.

My cousin got this one.
The art style is pretty shitty actually, the story was butchered.
