it's my biggest pet peeve when amateur writers throw in random details, especially color, to try and flesh out their characters or settings, when those details are super out of place. It detracts from your writing to throw in "blue eye" and "grey eyebrow" back to back, because they aren't fucking relevant, so it just sounds like you're trying way too hard to be descriptive, clear mark of someone trying to write gud and failing

if the conversation is bland without describing the appearance of those talking then that's a whole different issue. I just feel like it's really overstating things that aren't relevant.

Like for example when you say:

"What'll you give me for the privilege?" A hint of snark behind the question.

You could totally just omit the second sentence because the dialogue is snarky by itself. Likewise you can omit descriptions that aren't relevant. Describing one character as looking like a raider with grey eyes is relevant and good. Describing eyebrow color of another dude is not.
