Would you rather write a work that becomes a classic 50 years after your death and die in mostly poverty (25k) with the knowledge that you will be remembered for hundreds of years?
OR
Write a very popular nonfiction that is disproven and forgotten shortly after your death, and live with a steady income of 250k? You know you made your fame on shaky ground, though.
OR
Continue your life as it is with what small chances you have at either scenario but with control of your failure or success.

You can keep writing/corresponding if you please, although you won't be compensated for it, in all three. The extra writing wont change your eventual reputation.

I rather have my name go down in history. After all, we die twice, first when we physically die and second when our memory is last remembered.

Third is the best, second/third is subjective I guess.

The first, you can get by pretty well with 25k USD in my country.
