I don't understand how God is supposed to be perfect in Christianity. I mean basically his endgame is to reap every human soul he can as if it was a game and doesn't leave humans any choice because otherwise he condemns them to either Hell or annihilation of the soul, according to whichever doctrine the particular sect happens to follow ? It seems extremely petty to me. How do you reconcile this purpose with the idea of a perfect, all-powerful, all-encompassing, everlasting, all-loving entity ? In other terms if He is EVERYTHING, why does he even bother toying with us humans ? If our souls is something so precious to Him then how is He all-powerful ?

He's perfect because he is God
All he does is perfect as he is God
He's perfect as he is God

If you're actually interested in this, stop asking /lit/ and read some Theology.

Nice circular logic man, now can you use some actual arguments, or is it what it boils down to ?

Logic is part of God
Therefore you cannot use logic to go against God

You can't use logic to talk about metaphysical things. It's like you didn't even read Kant, or Wittgenstein, or Heidegger

How can anything be outside of logic? God doesn't apply to the same rules as us?

Just because this aspect of His nature defines our relationship with Him doesn't make it His endgame.

With regards to heaven and hell, they merely illustrate the consequences of free will. If you were able to be free without consequences it wouldn't be true freedom. Your parents love you but they want you to make your own way in the world, even though they know it may be safer for them to keep you safe and confined with them.

It's because God is basically a super version of man. He's still completely petty, jealous and obsessed with expanding a supernatural version of a monarchy from a few centuries BC, but he's declared a god and therefore perfect and flawless

Basically, when they came up with God, they took man and only upgraded his physical capacities, not his mental ones

In all honesty though, he's not much dumber than any other theologian. I guess it shows what happens when you start a 'science' that never lets itself be corrected by reality
