Isn't Wittgenstein a bit complicated to understand for a newbie ?

Loux'x Metaphysics, Soames' Philosophy of Language, Chalmers' Philosophy of Mind. All good introductory texts. I would say start with Loux and focus on chapters 1,2,3,6, and 8.

In all seriousness, a logic textbook. Then an advanced logic textbook. From there, get an anthology on analytic philosophy (Martinich and Sosa have a nice one). Explore the threads that interest you.
