bedtime stories to read to your gf?

she has trouble falling asleep, what's something relaxing and nice

Actually got in the habit of that recently, The Garden of Forking Paths and The Child Runs Deep In Filibert were big hits.

I actually read parts of Blood Meridian out loud to myself. I put on a Texan accent and everything. It was pretty fucking dank, if I do say so myself.

Hemingway's short stories are ultra comfy. If you want a quick TKO I'd recommend Dubliners. For something more whimsical try Calvino's Italian folktales. Most poetry is also good for sleepy time reading.

I'd read Parerga and Paralipomena to children and women alike tbh.
Actually, I'd read it to anyone that asked me to, except those few chapters on suicide and on woman (not that I disagree with the man, it's just that some people take it too personal).

Did she start farting in your mouth or is she trouncing your insensitive and rigid ass?

>> No.6994266

A chapter of watership down a night. Some will be a bit more intense than others, but a very comfy read.

Or genealogical chapters in the bible. I challenge anyone to read those and maintain interest.

>> No.6994277

Poetry is a good way of relaxing, particularly in English since the iambic pentameter gives a nice comfy rythm to everything.
