It's hard for me sometimes. I fully and completely understand the spiritual character of Yahweh in all of its nuances and complexity, the true meaning of the story He tells in the Bible, but I have absolutely nobody to share it with. Damn dude, if I was God I'd be full on Old Testament. This has nothing to do with fedora and everything to do with acting however I damn well please. A merciful God of love is something relatively new if you look at history. Zeus fucked whatever he wanted, the Mayan Gods demanded sacrifice, the Teutonic/Nordic Gods were constantly fucking each other up.

What you are doing is dismissing every cultures concept of God up until Jesus, including current Jewish and Muslim beliefs (though the latter are newer).
