>go on a chomsky bout as an undergrad
>eventually move on
>forget about him for years
>come back
>listen to his lectures again
>realize he's still pretty much always accurate and indeniable
>realize how based he actually is

Can we get a Chomsky appreciation thread?

Chomsky is good. He's one of my favorite left wing thinkers. He's sincere in his aims, yet I've never detected a trace of hatred in anything he does; he seems to be motivate by a genuine concern for human welfare. That's something that's too often missing and it gives him this peculiar saint-like aura.

Having said that, I don't worship him the way some people do. I find that he can get a bit simplistic on higher level philosophical concepts. He's at his best when arguing historical details.

Yes, I agree. Sometimes his interpretations are a little questionable, and he's certainly no holy saint, but he does seem to be intellectually committed.

He recently married a woman half his age (born in 65 or something). She's Brazilian. I even know her Facebook account but she doesn't post anything there execpt news about cultural events in her city and such things. Pic related, it's Chomskys wife Valeria Wasserman.

Apparently she's a translator but I guess now she lives out of big Noam's money.

The trick is to listen to all his talks, albums from the 90s. They're probably on youtube, Class War is one of them. That's the Chomsky Shot Incubation which is difficult to recover from.

Wage slavery isn't real.

And anarcho-syndicalism is an extremely violent ideology. Just see Catalonia under the anarchists.

I prefer my anarchy to be non-violent and respectful of property rights.

also, his critique of US foreign policy is something a teenager that listens to Marylin Manson would come up with.

Fingers and buttcheeks crossed in anticipation of the ancap coming back swinging with 'b-but the free markets can totally have a backed currency and judiciary!!' revealing that they're really just market socialists who're afraid of the term because it's Dirty.
