Why does he call it western canon when he clearly includes English specific works that have no importance for the rest of the West like Canterbury tales? 50% of the authors are anglophones and 95% of them have no importance for the Western canon outside anglophone countries. It would be like I made a "western" canon and included works like Heimskringla, poetic Edda and speculum regale.

I seriously hope he included Arthurian romances in his list, because that is one thing that definitely shaped the western canon in all of the west.
