It just disappears in the shadow, it would have looked more realistic if I had painted the background red.

I got bored and drew a skull earlier.

pls r8

The drawing is only about three cm high, please understand.

It actually is really terrible. It's something you'd see on a first year GCSE portfolio that received a high B.

Which is fine though.

my main art is painting and drawing figures/portraits.

you made it disappear unrealistically into the shadow. I bet you're one of those shitfisted losers who can't draw two eyes without one looking fucked up

For a talentless hack, maybe.

Phew - now it's getting offensive, I messed the eyes up, but I painted with totally wrong coloured pencils so I didn't want to fuck it up by erasing.

>> No.6913191

You draw what you think should be there instead of what is actually there, which is one of the first things you learn not to do when creating art. This is most obvious in the hair.

Yes. Therefore OP is pleb/talentless hack.

thats a good hint, but I never learned drawing, it's just a hobby of mine, which I rarely practise.

Too much symbol drawing

The eye and mouth are just symbol drawing, you aren't really drawing the real shades

GIT GUD

I realised that before, but thanks for mentioning it.

>> No.6913210

>>6913205

Try doing a fast sketch next time only with black and white trying to get the shades right before drawing it again for color

>> No.6913216

>>6913210
Good idea.

>> No.6913226

I think you should have put more detail into the left eye, given how much the picture focuses on it. It looks a little bit jarring and almost cartoonish compared to the rest of the drawing.

I mean this constructively and you show skill and should continue drawing, OP

Thanks! And yes you're right.
