What is some essential conservative literature?

As in, conservative like Barry Goldwater, and Russel Kirk or those that have a more libertarian-esque stance towards social issues.
Also poor Barry, he must be rolling in his grave with Trump trying to run for president.

No Santorum loonatics or moneymaking ventures in politics please.

But conservatism has been dead ever since it was hijacked by religious wackos and randroids

What started with Nixon gained traction with Reagan.

Nowhere near as fast as William F. Buckley.

Maybe in the American upper house.

Absolutely can't stand "libertarian" randroids, despite being a libertarian symbol she is very far from being a libertarian she even denied being a libertarian a number of times even claiming she'd rather vote for Karl Marx than the Libertarian party. Any "libertarian" who follows Rand is an utter idiot.
"Randian Libertarians" are the worst people on this whole planet.

Charles Murray's Losing Ground or What it means to be a Libertarian were very well written and insightful.

I also enjoyed Thomas Sowell's economic facts and fallacies.

Good conservative thinkers are rather hard to find. Though, it's seemingly impossible to find a good liberal one -- unless you're the type to praise a Krugman or Sartre.

She was just furiously buttmad about people adopting and iterating on her ideas without kissing her ring.

Libertarians are Protestants to the objectivist Catholics.
