It's not even that bad.

Also, practice IS the answer, the key is to develop the style you want to have and then force yourself to write like that all the time until it sticks. It will take time, and your writing will be slow as shit in the beginning (which is why so few people these days take the time to do so, given that typing technology is so widely available now)

>> No.6884784

>>6884581

OP here. Well, there are books and shit obviously, but even then you will have to do the practice thing. This is why I always recommend to just develop your own style and learn that one (since we don't live in a society that demands you to write a certain way the way it was in business back in the 19th century etc).

It's all about repetition, handwriting is as integral a part of you as your speech patterns are, in order to change them you have to make a concerted effort and basically force the change, which is done by repetition.

Make it an everyday thing, once you've picked your style, write that way ALL. THE. TIME. Whenever you're scribbling down a note or making a shopping list or whatever, allow it to be more painstaking than it usually is. Before long, it will start to feel natural until eventually it is now your new handwriting.

But no, there are no magic fixes to this, sorry. It's a learned skill, an art, and like any other skill or art it takes practice.

I originally chose wide ruled paper; I practiced my lines for pages and pages (with only marginal improvement every week); and I chose a pen I loved.

I write in all capital letters, two lines per line on the page. I've done since I was like 13. Always use ultra fine pens (this was with a Pilot G2 .038). Any larger and it becomes really sloppy and hard to read.

Just lay the F over the E (This assuming it's E.F.) slightly below and to the right.
This way looked like E.T. at first

Maybe with serifs?

But that's pretty much exactly what I do? Middle and lower sprigs of the E create the sprigs of the F etc.

I see this, and I'm saying don't do that. Blending is fun, but maybe you need to leave them as distinct letters. Not so long as pictured either.
