The Book: On the Taboo of Knowing Who You Are by Alan Watts. It's an Eastern analysis of the human condition; while that sounds a bit lofty or like you may need prior knowledge, it's actually written to be understood by children and can be read in a day.

If you like it I also suggest The Way of Zen by the same author, it's a great introduction to the history and thought behind the Eastern philosophies that The Book touches on.

That would be an overly simplistic cartoony pop culture version of it. Nietzsche isn't very straight forward in his prescriptive ethics, he generally just sort of hints at things.

Which is what he liked, he mentioned wanting to leave the actual conclusion up to the reader.

>Which book will convince one that life is worth continuing
There is really no need for (such) a book.

You will convince yourself that life is worth continuing on your first suicide attempt—by realizing how much of a pussy you are to actually discontinue your life.

Read Kaufmann's 'Nietzsche: Psychologist, Philosopher, Antichrist.' Not the only (or even best) interpretation of Nietzsche, but it's a good starting place and does a decent job of showing the Nietzsche actually had ideas of his own, rather than just criticisms.
