I'm friends with some people on here who are published and respected in the industry. I'm just a lot younger than them so I haven't myself had enough experience to push something worthwhile through the door. Workin it.

Yeah. Just short stories. My goal is to publish a novel, but I think that counts.

Yes. Currently working on my third novel.

If ever I wrote anything and had it published, I would never again return to /lit/
I suspect this holds true as well for anyone on /lit/ who has had their work published

I had a few of my poems published in a childrens poem compilation when I was a child.

Feels weird tbh, everytime I wrote a poem when I was young people have loved it. But I don't know if that was just them inflating my ego because I was young, so I'm a bit scared about attempting it now in case I get laughed out of the building.

I'd still post just to laugh at the probably misguided and potentially straight-up retarded things people here say about publishing and writing in general.

>> No.6852032

>>6851955
Opposite. I'd trip up and timestamp and shitposting constantly while laughing at dank memes with 100 of my closest friends I've never met.

>> No.6852039

I published some poems, not anything "big" though. (not a book of any sort.)

I published my philosophical novel and I'm relatively well known locally but basically an anon abroad so I don't care posting on 4chan a site that only amerifats care about.
Mine is a philosophical tragedy that tells the story of a 15 years old Romanian boy in the late 90s.
You could -probably- find me if you google me but I'll not say more on this topic. It's also written in "not-english" so basically no american could read it even if they do find me.
I never expected to become huge anyway, but it's a starting point for my future books. I sold enough to live off it for now so I'm good to focus entirely on that and possibly become better known

Is it easier to get published in some armpit of a country where half the population is illiterate?

Published one short story in a smaller magazine with big names attached to it and appearing in it.

I have held off publishing for several years because I am improving my writing.

>> No.6852131

I have co-authored a couple scientific papers.
