Hello /lit/ I am an atheist and I am worried for my life.

3 weeks ago when I "came out of the closet" about my intellectual decision to stop believing in children's fairy tales my parents threatened to have me committed to an insane asylum. (They are fundies from the bible belt, I live with them for financial reasons.)

are there any books about acceptance of atheism that I can give to these brainwashed 15th century dolts to convince them not to have me put away?

Or are there any psycology books that will let me talk my way out of the loony bin? (I am exceedingly charming and intelligent so it should be no problem)

It's going to be difficult to find an insane asylum that admits you on the basis of not believing in God. They typically admit people that think they ARE God. It's not just free lodging, you have to be admitted

If it's for financial reasons you obviously are above 18, old enough to take a job and get the fuck outta there and they don't have the right to send you anywhere but kick you out.
