im so scared about the film adaptation.its ridley scott, and even though blade runner ended up being a good movie it still butchered androids dream of electric sheep's meaning and plot.

Blade Runner is an improvement over "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep?", and I can say that as a Dick fanboy. The themes and plot in Blade Runner are just better. Blade Runner is considered to be one of the greatest movies of all time and rightfully so. "Do Androids.." is just a good book.

wow, finally someone who thinks as i do. i think that the themes in ''do androids...'' which aren't dick's quasi-religious scramble, are explored with greater finesse in Blade Runner. I can't say the same for A Scanner Darkly. Ridley Scott was great in the 70's. I don't trust him anymore.

Gladiator is fucking boring and idiotic. Alien and Blade Runner were pretty solid but have their own problems. Scott hasn't done anything that's worth watching in decades, because he's about as competent at telling a story as his retarded brother, but worse at handling action, which is apparently his preferred genre.
