It's been a while since I read a book that I couldn't put down until it was done. I mostly get bored with them and just leave them on the shelf/return them to the library.

What should I read? Pic is last thing I didn't bother finishing.

This was the last thing I finished some months ago, though it was short enough for one sitting anyways. I can't remember the last story that actually gripped me.

there is a time to read, and a time to write. usually whenever i feel as the op does, i start writing journal entries on the daily. also, a film is okay too.

Hm, well, I am far, far out of my element with that...

Perhaps another friendly Anon will be better equipped than I?

Cat's Cradle.

I guess this is just a symptom of my dysthymia. Will continue taking my meds.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

Oh, Vonnegut. Can't say I liked Slaughterhouse Five that much. Will still open it up, though.

>> No.683141

yeah, don't read Vonnegut. if you liked the sound and the fury read other faulkner. hemingway. If you want something by someone still living, read Cormac McCarthy. He's the Faulkner of today.

spoiler: nothing interesting happens in Cat's Cradle until the last 20 pages. It definitely doesn't sound like it's for you. Unless you already know for a fact that you like Vonnegut.
