Because he was right. I fail to see how his condescending attitude in the end of each of the five sections prevents him from being admirable.

But why was he right? Most of his definitions are questionable, especially the ones he copped from Descartes. His "demonstrations" are far from solid by the standards of either modern logic or his day's geometry. You'll have to explain what makes him, rather than Hegel, Aquinas, or Aristotle, correct if you want me to take you seriously. And if you don't want me to take you seriously, then you can't care much about Spinoza's correctness.
