Sup /lit/? I'm going to be without internet for a week or so, and want some books to keep me entertained.

I like satire, mystery, and black humor - not really a fan of fantasy-ish books. The last two books I read were Battle Royale and Cat's Cradle, enjoyed them both.

Any suggestions?

Maybe Ryu Murakami? I don't know, I've read two of his books recently and I liked the sort of lack of story that they have. I always liked books where nothing really happens, probably has to do with my limited mental capacities. They're pretty short though, so not so good as actual time fillers.

Sounds interesting. Which two books of his did you read?

I read Almost transparent blue, which is about junkies in Japan (near to an American marine base) and what they do, namely drugs and weird sex and lots of nothing) and Audition, which I liked till the end, where stuff suddenly started happening. I still have In the miso soup, but did not start it yet.

Dostoevsky's "The Idiot."
