Is zizek the only marxist worth anything?

Zizek is a plagiarizer.

>> No.6732120

worth is either subjective or non existant

>> No.6732131

>>6732118
I personally can't see the problem with plagiarising. It used to be a way for ideas to spread faster, but today the very notion that one must not plagiarise or misquote serves as a reactionary bottleneck, imposed by the authorities.

>> No.6732141

Zizek isn't worth anything, not even the paper his books are printed on.

Those poor trees ;_;

It only matters because at some point academia became a way to make a living rather than a way to advance knowledge or better oneself.

Nope, he deflected all accusations and they were irrelevant to his real work anyway

He is everything and nothing, that's his allure. He knows that there is rarely pure ideological thought, it is always tempered or caveated to suit the user. So he will give off both left and right wing smells if you will, he admits this himself saying that in his heart he is a fascist, he is not joking, he knows that what is espoused as a position is in fact the outer shell of the real thought, itself covered in layers of complex social, cultural and biological masking. The true heart of the left is the right and vice versa, the Z gets it and accepts that this is something that cannot be resolved, so he shrugs and says he is a marxist, a fascist, a communist, a consumer, whatever suits the needs of the discusion being had.

I think what he says is that he wants the left to 'appropriate fascism' and then goes on to explain it by saying the left should include elements of 'order, discipline, subordination, etc"

How is that tantamount to fascism? That's just common sense criticism of the let's wildest excesses.
