I was considering buying a larger bookshelf but decided to sell about 200 records to make room cuz books > lots of things > ipods\mp3s > more things >>>>> records.

African snails. They've been hibernating since January and they're most likely dead at this point. There's no point in checking as every time I've picked them up they have came out of hibernation, only to have went back into it after a day or so. It's a shame as they're a lot of fun when active.

They only hibernate if their environment is too dry, sounds like you're not tending to their needs well enough.

Personally I find them boring anyway. I have Madagascar hissing cockroaches and Argentinian cockroaches, I like them better than slimy snails and they don't need any special care unlike those snails which need to have their terra kept moist and sprayed with water every day.

If you're too lazy to take care of them just donate them to a pet shop or whatever, they don't deserve to be mistreated and forced into hibernation.

Nope, it's only since I left them that the environment has been dry. I watered/sprayed them every day and through the winter they had a heat mat to the point that I felt the soil was too wet. Fed them well enough, cuttle fish, got them a good size tank. I only got them a year ago with my now recently ex-gf as a quirky thing so I wouldn't be too heart broken if they were no longer alive.
