Does /lit/ have any recommendations on books about psychedelic drugs? I've read most of the obvious picks and need more ideas on what to read. Pic related, it's one of my favourites. Thanks.

Infinite Jest is a definite must. Don't judge it until you've read it three times and read/thought about it on lots of drugs.
I smoked DMT and then glanced at my copy and had a horrible comeup in this swirling orange void unable to tell if I was myself or if I was Hal or DFW or myself, and felt like I was addicted to hard drugs and in a terrible place in my life. 7/10 saw the plot in 5 dimensions later, would do again.

Also, I'm reading Alverga's Santo Daime book and it's kind of interesting.

Damn, I had a really good suggestion someone gave me on a guy trying to scientifically define psychedelic experiences with some colleagues, but I can't remember the author. I really want to read that shit.

How widespread is the use of psychedelics in universities? Where can I find people like that? I'm starting next semester, and would love to find balanced people to trip with.

On topic: I've read The doors of perception and LSD my problem child. I recommend both. Huxley's book is about his experience on mescaline, and Hofmann's is about the history of LSD and his first trip.
