dr.M is the most retarded character ever, Rorschach is walking ideology with no characterization, the exposition of his motivation is laughable. Ozzy is a giant dues ex who can outsmart the supposedly omniscient being who has regressed to teenage tier apatheia.

The prose reads better than most comics, but its still not good writing. Everyone still talks in edgy-revamped gee-willikers comic dialogue.

characters are inconsistent and make choices at random just to fit the story.

I read the book on recommendation. and honestly, yea its aesthetically fine enough to flip through. its got a great "comic" feel in the same way burgers and fries can be a great aesthetic if that's what you are aiming for.
But you would never call burgers Michelin star. You could never make the argument that that watchmen is actually approaching anything good. Its the best a guilty pleasure can get, thats about it.
