So far I've read V., Gravity's Rainbow, and Bleeding Edge. Which Pinecone should be my next? I'm thinking of either The Crying of Lot 49, Vineland, or Inherent Vice because I want to save his (presumably) better books for later.

You realise Pynchon is literally YA?

You are reading the male equivalent of vampire novels.

Slothrop my man

>> No.6668733

There was a great thread about GR while ago. And there was discussion about the death of Bianca and so on.
Are there any specific theories about that. or do you have any?

To me it almost seemed like if the Bianca, her mother, Greta Erdmann. and Miklos Thanatz were all sort of hallucination of Slothrope.
Later when Slothrope met Der Springer, Springer was suprised that Greta is even alive; no-one knew Slothrope when he returned on the board of Anubis, and so on. But totally unsure about this all.

What do you think?

Nah man, everyone was just all fucked up on that boat all hours. Bianca was dead that's the "flash of hair" or whatever he sees before he's compelled the run the fuck out of there and jump overboard. He's repressing it. Antonio also goes overboard.
