Aside from the fact that it's high school tier, how is it bad? Does /lit/ just hate anything that a 16 year old can comprehend?

>> No.6626299

>>6626270
Yes. I have no idea how /lit is so blissfully unaware of their transparent contrarianism. Earlier today some guy wrote off Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and Dickens and received nothing but agreement. Painful.

I don't even really like GG, but i will freely admit that this cover is possibly the best cover of any book ever.

It is absolutely enchanting. Its mysterious, its contemplative it seems sad, but not in any sort of immediately obvious way.

It is absolutely perfect.

The lights, the rich blue, the eyes the lips, the contumely condescending melancholy,
the hanging over - pervasive, otherworldly - quality.

GOAT of all time.

/lit/ feels the need to impress some self serving being within themselves...I mean, they are anonymous on here and I highly doubt any of them have any real friends.

So they take on /lit/'s hivemind because they are too lazy to kill themselves.

>> No.6628952

F. Scott > mostly anyone except Joyce as far as the 20th century is concerned.

For some reason /lit/ always rambles on about loving prose but the only criticism they hold for Fitzgerald is his plots, when he is the greatest prose master of the 20th century.
