I don't know about the rest, but the Ulysses one uses the 1961 text. Personally I prefer pic related because it uses the original text, but has a list of all the errors and corrections in the back along with extensive notes and other things.

Ulysses was originally published in 1922 with a lot of errors. There were several attempts at publishing corrected editions over the years but with the way Joyce wrote, a lot of the corrections ended up being new mistakes themselves. There's no "perfect" edition of Ulysses because of this.

Babyboomers do this bullshit. Somehow it seems different than buying books you set on a shelf and never read, but I suppose it isn't.

Boomers are obsessed with presenting to guests a nice, orderly house where nice, near-new towels are always available, but younger generations let the bathroom racks run bear while they proudly display their cultural capital--CD's, when it was cool to have CD's, DVD's, and pretty books. Dalí prints and LP's.

Both types are fake, but I guess we're just fake in a different way.

I don't think CD's, DVD's and pretty books, Dali Prints, and LP's are on display because they want people to see them. They actually get used (except for the paintings but they are meant to be displayed and hey...Dali ain't a halfbad artist and I don't even like the surreal shit) and lets face it...where else are you going to put them? Bury them in the ground or something? They are on display not to be seen, but because they are in a conventional spot to be used.

Fake towels are fucking stupid, same for pianos gone unplayed.

The painting is called Witches' Flight.
Supernatural, mystical, horrifying scene happening in the air. Below is one man cowering in fear and another walking with a sheet over his head. The way I see it there are the people suffering because of Ude's cult, and then there are those who are too afraid to do anything, and those who willingly hide from the facts and go on about their business (McCandless). There's also the donkey, which wikipedia's entry on the painting says is the symbol of ignorance, so that's obviously Elisabeth.
