What's a good way to get free books?
>too poor to buy any good books
>local library has crap selection
>don't have a car to drive to nearest b&n to shoplift

What am I supposed to do?

Pirate them online.

Failing that steal physical copies from nice ethical targets like Barnes & Noble.

Or, y'know, use a library or some shit, whatever works for you.

I work at goodwill
Books come everyday
Especially last week, where the local library donated a bunch of old books that were "taking up space" or whatever. No one bats an eye if I take a couple books. Recently took older prints of the hobbit and cat's cradle. Lots of Anna Karenina for some reason...

You can find pretty much any 'famous' novel from the 1950s or earlier online by just googling '[x] full text'. If you want to get more obscure works or nonfiction academic books, can't help you there.

I usually steal them from barnes and noble or other chain bookstores. I probably wouldn't steal them from a charity store like >>6584425 because they're like 2 dollars each at goodwill where I live.

I work as a janitor in a college dorm. Sometimes I steal textbooks from students dorm rooms and after I've read them I sell the ones that don't interest me.

Pretty much everything you use is made either by slave labor or by machines that leave countless workers on the street, so who cares at this point?
