What's some good book where the main character is a depressed neet loser?

I've been wanting to read some story, that's kind of like the chinese cartoon 'Welcome to the NHK', but a lot more serious and negative.

Somebody recomended me to get "No longer human", but I couldn't find it locally. Is it good?

Yes it is good but the main character isn't a NEET.

Hella depressed though. Dazai is a bit terse but when you get used to it it's good.

Have you read the Welcome to the NHK novel?

The Book of Disquiet, though the protagonist isn't a full of neet, but very close, early 20th century neet

Yes, that's what I'm asking for something similar, but darker.
Preferably something that is easy to find on physical media. I couldn't get a copy of that.

also a literary masterpiece, which is probably a plus

pessoa was hardly a neet. he worked his entire life, except for one year of intensive self-studying

I'm reading it now and it's honestly pretty depressing. Not in a literal sense but more as a relatable depression. I wouldn't say it's the best in a literal sense but there's meaning in the writing if you know what I mean; just very relatable.

Do you know if it ever got a spanish translation?

Unfortunately I live in the UK so I only get English copies but the book is Dazai's main masterpiece so there might be a chance it got translated into Spanish.

Is that like a response to Human All Too Human?

I haven't read that yet, No Longer Human is my first Dazai but I got Return to Tsugaru in my post today so that's what I'll probably read afterwards.

Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto now that I think of it is similar to this book, just not as harsh as how Dazai writes.
