>For theology, science is only a means to the end of belief. It urges upon science an impure, servile sense, contradictory to the spirit of science. 1 he scientific spirit is the universal spirit, the nameless spirit -- not Christian, but also not pagan. There is no such thing as Christian and Pagan mathematics, no Christian and Pagan logic, psychology, metaphysics, no Christian and Pagan philosophy. A philosophy which takes itself to be Christian and is Christian, is on this very count a deficient, limited philosophy which is in contradiction to the concept of philosophy. Philosophy is not cosmogony or theogony -- it is neither Hesiodic nor Homeric, nor mythical, nor Aristotelian nor Platonic. It is instead the science of the calm spirit, of logico-metaphysical principles, of the laws which rule both nature and man. But these laws are eternal and changeless. They rule the Christian world today no less than they did the pagan world. Theology, however, is essentially Christian theology; its principle is not truth as such, but Christian truth -- i.e., what is Christian is true. Thus its essence is not universality but particularity.

Feuerbach was literally Sam Harris

the fedora is completely irrelevant to Feuerbach, as he is actually one of the few atheists actually managing to back his atheism up. He is the complete opposite of 'new atheists'

also, implying that a Hegelian can be a fedora tipper

He dropped Hegelianism and embraced a naive empiricism; read his later works he gets progressively more Fedora

This, the large portion of their arguments are equivalent to atheists calling them all pedophiles and yet they still consider this petty insult to be a wondrous new argument and an acceptable basis for a sincere counter culture.

Still respect Christfags over any other Abrahamic religion though.

sadly this is unavoidable, as they are the only ones who don't mutilate their babies' genitals because of divine edict

>There is strong evidence that circumcision reduces the risk of HIV infection in heterosexual men in high-risk populations.
>Circumcision is associated with a reduced prevalence of oncogenic types of HPV infection
>A 2006 meta-analysis found that circumcision was associated with lower rates of syphilis, chancroid and possibly genital herpes. A 2010 review found that circumcision reduced the incidence of HSV-2 (herpes simplex virus, type 2) infections by 28%.
>The procedure may also be used to prevent the development of phimosis.
>Circumcision has a protective effect against the risks of penile cancer in men, and cervical cancer in the female sexual partners of heterosexual men.

There are literally zero medical reasons such as those above for female circumcision, and in fact female circumcision is linked to increased risk of infection.

Granted I live in a country where most people who are circumcised and aren't Jewish did it for medical reasons. Most of us (including myself) are uncircumcised, and the result of the lack of social pressure means that we can recognise that people usually only do it for sensible reasons.
