>feel when you're writing something and it seemed decent for a while but a paragraph later you proofread the whole thing it reads like shit then lose motivation to write the whole day

How do I fix this?

the artist always notices the flaws. they are both artist and critic. it's like, every artisan will know every little scratch and fuck up on their work. I make furnitune and I know every little defect and slight imperfection in my creations. they stand out to me like hyperspace navigation paths to a guild navigator. other people look at it and tell me it looks amazing. to me thye always look like crooked pieces of banged up shit.

Don't proofread. I used to proofread as I was going along and would end up disillusioned and deleting almost everything I wrote. Just keep writing, don't look back, then proofread another day. It's difficult to do this on a computer so I usually write in longhand and then type it all down, errors and all, when I'm finished a notebook, then print it out and correct it with a pen. I started doing this last year and have never written so much.

It's difficult to do this on a computer so I usually write in longhand and when I'm finished a notebook I type it all out, errors included, and print it. Then you make corrections/changes with a pen and retype it. I started doing this last year and have never written so much.

It's a good thing you make furniture. Seeing's how you can't write, and all.

>tfw you write a bunch of work
>tfw you think it's shit when you're done and so you shelve it for a couple months
>tfw you go back and realize its better than you thought

Also, your first draft is going to be fucking garbage. Don't be afraid to delete stuff and don't be afraid to put down garbage as a placeholder so long as you have the discipline to go back later and fix it.
