Daily reminder that Parmenides was right about everything all along. 2000+ years of Western civilization have ended in futile attempts at avoiding the fact that all other opinions are inevitably wrong. Your time would be better spent fapping than attempting to justify your delusions.

Daily reminder that Chad was cucking you all along. 1+ years of self-pity have ended in nothing since Chad fucked your gf and left you with nothing because you are a piece of shit. Your time would be better spent living by yourself than attempting to get your fucking slutty gf back but you wouldn't listen because muh love and feels.

The best work on Parmenides can be found in a collection of essays by Seth Benardete, "Archaeology of the Soul". The particular article can be found on scribd:

Benardete was a classicist, and a brilliant close reader with astounding fluency in the ancient Greek texts, especially those of Plato.

His primary assumptions are that the ancient writers had complete control over the way they chose to write (verses, dialogues, aphorisms, treatises) and what they chose to write (note the interesting examples Benardete gives early, such as how the term "eternity" is never applied to Being, and that "falsehood" is never applied to Opinion, which should be striking insofar as that's how the usual account is given, but that Parmenides himself chose not to characterize it that way should give us some pause).

He's very hard to work through, but he was better than the vast majority of scholars around.
