Can /lit/ help me out? I'm trying to become a more well-read Muslim. My mosque has failed me. I'm looking to build by knowledge of Islam from the ground up.

I'm a Christian but I enjoy reading about Islam. Check out the different branches of th3 faith, especially the mystical thinkers and pets.

If you're interested in just history, I would recommend reading about preIslamic culture in the middle east to get a good idea about where the religion came from. That way you'll have more context should you read heavily fundementalist texts.
