I've only ever been more than casual friends with a few girls. One was this hot girl that was very conservative and easily one of the smartest people I've ever met. She was the only girl in my friend group in high school and she'd argue with us as brutally as any of the men would. I'm with most anons here when I say no person, male or female, has truly blown me away with intelligence. I have encountered some women that are really self-aware and independent, which I think is a great sign of thoughtfulness, especially in women. And at least one woman among this group of women stands far above the rest. But I guess that's only surprising because I've met a great deal of women who are not particularly mature. (Men too, but it's easier to be prejudiced towards women because they are the "other," know what I'm saying?) But as far as just intellect goes, no, I haven't really been shocked by anyone lately.

Some, but most of them are just very bright, not on-another-level. Still, I've only met a few people from any gender that have really blown me away. I have, however, met many that impressed me with their cunning; which I think is more valuable and more interesting than traditional intelligence. I've seen women mentally maneuver with the best of them. There's nothing hotter than thinking you've got a girl wrapped around your finger only to realize after the fact that she had you pegged and was two steps ahead the whole time. I do know a few girls that are both hot and smart though. One girl I met a few years ago. She was working on her master of science degree. She was definitely hot, but no 10/10. She was really into political theory and philosophy, which made for great discussion. She's the only girl I've actually wanted to keep around after hooking up with.
The other girl I knew, was from my teenage years. She was the one who got me into literature to begin with. She was both crazy hot and smart, but with the addition of mental issues. She was bipolar and ended up killing herself last year. I hadn't spoken to her in ages, but it still hit me pretty hard.
