I've always been more interested in painting than literature, but after reading keat's ode on a grecian urn I've realised that I'm missing out. Can you suggest some other poetry that is truly great, like keats?

Keats' odes of 1819 are among the pinnacles of English verse.

Ode on Melancholy, Ode to Psyche, Ode to a Nightingale and To Autumn are the other ones. To Autumn is the most perfect poem in the English language.

Try Shelley as well. The Cloud, Ode to the West Wind, To a Skylark, Adonias (elegy ob the death of Keats)

After above anon's suggestions go Coleridge, Tennyson, Housman

Shakespeare's 18th Sonnet and Shelley's Ozymandias are thematically related to Ode to a Grecian Urn and equally sublime.

if you're talking about his very first stuff, the images are incredible, but the constant couplets are pretty much immediately irritating and the poems wander everywhere
